Alexander J. Lopez is of counsel at Healy & Associates. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, the United States District Court, and the Central District of California.
Mr. Lopez received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Chapman University. In addition, Mr. Lopez took extensive courses in psychology, child psychology, marriage and family counseling, and psychology of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender experience. Mr. Lopez’s undergraduate research work on heterosexism and internalized homophobia earned him recognition amongst his professors and colleges in the Chapman community. Mr. Lopez made the Dean’s List every semester and graduated Cum Laude and Gray Key.
Mr. Lopez received his Juris Doctorate from Chapman University School of Law and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his research in the area of bullying of LGBT students in schools. During law school, Mr. Lopez was certified by the California Supreme Court to practice law before California courts.
While in undergraduate school, Mr. Lopez worked as an administrative assistant at Jorgensen & Salberg. In 2007, he began working at Jorgensen & Salberg, LLP as a law clerk, focusing on law and motion matters. When he passed the Bar Exam in 2012, he joined the firm as an of counsel attorney.
Mr. Lopez is also an avid water polo player and swimmer, having played on both the Tustin High School and Chapman University teams. From 2005-2007, Mr. Lopez held the record for the fastest time in the Men’s 200 Freestyle. Mr. Lopez devotes his time to mentoring and counseling in the LGBT community. In his spare time, Mr. Lopez enjoys competitive swimming, hiking, and scuba diving in different locales around the world.
